Living Compassion:
Cultivating Wholeness and Loving Presence
Your authentic life force is the essential living energy that animates every moment. This fundamental energy is the tender expression of your inner being, unfolding through the heart as your deepest longings, in all forms of human needs and values.
Living Compassion is an expression of the spirituality of Nonviolent Communication. As we develop a depth of compassion, we naturally develop empathy, authenticity, empowerment, and a greater capacity to love. When you live from the energies of compassion, creativity, love, and clarity, you are living your passion. You are living the Authentic Self-in-Life.
We invite you to live into your wholeness.
Each moment of life can be an integrative moment. Wholeness asks for a paradigm shift from relating to life through opposites to a non-dual sense of welcoming all of life arising through you. We will begin with a preparation of consciousness beyond the mind — through embodiment and connecting to the source of meaning within — and explore three paradigm shifts together:
- From a sense of lack to wholeness
- From a sense of problem and solution to attending
- From a sense of blame and victimhood to empowerment
Over the course of this retreat, we will explore practices to deepen self-acceptance and self-compassion, increase your capacity for vulnerability and mourning, clarify your own spirituality, and strengthen your trust in your place and purpose in life. We will transform the pain of unmet needs into an awareness of their beauty, compassionately embrace core beliefs, and develop the daily habits that allow us to live our lives to the fullest.
This is the work of finding, experiencing, and empowering your Life Energy expressed through you, for the world.
For who:
- You are interested in the intersection of psychology and spirituality
- You have studied the basics of NVC and want to go deeper
- You experience healing as a form of empowerment
`’Living Compassion is my continual, embodied mindfulness practice – because the longing in my being is to live and feel the fullness every moment of my life. The continual sense of intimacy with the life in me, is a way of living.” Robert Gonzales

Trainers
Eva Maria Schneijderberg I attended my first NVC training in 2012. I was super enthusiastic about what it brought me; awareness and practical guide for my inner and outer communication. In 2015 I met Robert Gonzales for the first time. The process of Living Compassion deepened my practice of Nonviolent Communication as I experienced this as a spiritual way of approaching nonviolence. It gave me a process on how to meet my inner experience in a compassionate way that supports healing. Being aware and present to how life moves through me and where this flow of life is blocked or stuck enables me to live from a place of openness rather than protection. I enjoy working with groups and individuals who want to explore how Nonviolent Communication (NVC) , with awareness of the impact of power dynamics, can contribute to connection and collaboration.

Mironel de Wilde A pivotal moment came in 2014 when I attended my first Nonviolent Communication (NVC) workshop also in India. For the first time, I learned how to fully feel my feelings and listen to their messages. As my NVC practice deepened, my spiritual focus shifted from seeking transcendence to living into wholeness. Through the work of Robert Gonzales, Living Compassion, I discovered a practical way to live non-duality in relationships and everyday life. Living non-duality, living into wholeness is a process of unveiling my innate nature. There is nothing to do to cultivate what is already the truth of my being. The work is simply to love ourselves into who we really are.
Eva Maria and Mironel are both CNVC certified trainers. Mironel is boardmember of CNVC, Eva Maria is chairwoman of the Dutch NVC trainercommunity GC-Kring.
“ With this program we aim to keep the legacy from Robert Gonzales, Living Compassion, alive and accessible”

1-Day introduction workshop Living Compassion Amstelveen, the Netherlands, 14th of June
Living compassion is a way of living life as an expression of our wholeness. This means all of our experiences, beautiful and painful, are equally expressions of our aliveness to be welcomed with compassion. When I can relate to my pain as an important messenger to listen to, I am guided to unknown or unwanted parts of myself. When I can bring compassion and a trust in the wisdom of every part of me, then I can integrate these parts into my wholeness and bring all of myself into life, into creativity and into relationships. In this way, Living Compassion means living into the fullness of myself.
In this workshop we will explore and practice living compassion through:
- self-compassion
- self-acknowledgement
- stepping into our power and freedom
- holding others in their beauty with care
Join us for this journey of deepening connection.
